Ever consider becoming a plus size model? It’s not easy but if you are really determined to succeed and are willing to learn, network and take some good advice you might just find yourself well on the way to a rewarding career.
The Curvy Fashionista – Marie Denee interviewed model Venessa Reese on how to become a plus size model.
Among some of the points that Venessa made was; be willing to get up early and work late looking just a fresh and vibrant in the evening as in the morning. Be ready to work in environments and under conditions that’s not always comfortable. Work on your poses and refine them. Network network network. Venessa says; “Be comfortable in your own skin” be comfortable with who you are and it will show in your work. I encourage you to read her full article here.
My daughter had dinner with model Didiayer Snyder from LA models a couple of weeks ago in New Orleans and Didiayer gave her some excellent advice along with her new modelling book. And of course as a concerned parent and grandparent me and her grandmother went through the book and learned a lot. And one of the most important things we read is about attitude. Having the proper attitude will take you a long way. Working with a bad attitude, will most likely end up having your agency drop you all together. Everyone even the hair dresser and the person helping you get dressed is working hard to pull everything together so be professional and treat everyone with respect. Her book is certainly well worth the time and effort to read it.
So in the end if your confident, hardworking and have a great attitude then try it, you might just be surprised what you can accomplish!
