August 6, 2010 No Comments
A record breaking moment for the Brazilian curvy ladies. For a very long time, Brazil did not have a single magazine dedicated to plus size women. Not until the first publication of Beleza em Curvas in June 2010. Beleza em Curvas means ‘beauty and curves’. The first of its kind for plus size women, this magazine will be seen as an innovation on the Brazilian news stands in August.
The magazine include pages on fashion, beauty, health, welfare, gender and behavior, celebrity interviews, and fashion editorials as one of the main points of the magazine.
The magazine goal is to inform the readers that the existence of plus size women is real and they are happy and confident being such. Target readers are 20 to 50 years old for class B and C.
Gracing the cover of the first issue of the magazine is Brazil’s very own plus supermodel Fluvia Lacerda who is now based in the U.S.
