The Full Figured Fashion Week has officially announced the schedule for LA event on October 28-30, 2010 at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, 2025 Avenue of Stars, Los Angeles, CA. Just like in the past
two events held in the Big Apple, the LA event will surely be a three-day weekend full of fashion, and full of information, empowerment and inspiration through panel discussions.
The event will be dazzled with full-scale fashion showcase where attendees can take advantage of designer clothing at the Designer Trunk Sale and Shopping Event, and enjoy a finale runway event showcasing the latest designs of the hottest, brightest, and freshest talent in the plus size fashion. FFFWeek Executive Producer, Gwendolyn DeVoe says, “….. This is a celebration of curvy bodies, so we’re looking for designers who know how to show them off best. We want designs that will accentuate, not hide, our plus-sized bodies.”
The LA fashion celebration will kick off with a silent auction charity event, “Curves for a Cure: A Celebration of Pink” to raise funds for cancer research in line with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the L.A. Komen for a Cure Foundation.
If you are an aspiring model, or starting a career as a plus model you can learn from people of authorities in the plus modeling through the “New and Aspiring Models Panel Discussion/Seminar” slated during the event.
The Voluptuous Woman Company brings to you “The PLUS Side of Business” panel discussion where you will learn from different group of business owners the secrets to a successful business that service the plus size woman/man.
FFFWeek is not complete without the traditional panel discussion, “The State of the Curvy Community”. Moderating the discussion is Chenese Lewis who is a famous actress, Miss Plus America 2003, motivational speaker, plus size model, media spokesperson, and President of the National Organization for Women Hollywood Chapter.
