Miranda Hart, a plus size English writer, actress and stand-up comedienne won the Best New TV Comedy for her sitcom “Miranda” on UK television and was nominated for Best Sitcom.  The sitcom Miranda was written by Miranda Hart herself.

She also won the Best Female Comedy Actress and was voted number one by the viewers in the People’s Choice Award.

Jo Brand 150x150 Plus Size Stars Won At the British Comedy Awards 2011Jo Brand, another popular plus size English star won the Best Female TV Comic award. Jo Brand is a published author and is also best known for her stand up and world’s funniest comedy shows
