Its steady growth allows to shine a positive light on plus size women in fashion. More networks are becoming interested in showing and embracing plus size women on television.

Vinnie Potestivo Entertainment is casting talented plus size women in NYC Tri-State Area to appear on a new TLC plus size reality show from BBC Worldwide. The new  show is focused on plus size women and fashion, their need for better clothing options, or for styling help. Casting is open to the following:

  • Curvy, vivacious, plus-size, full-figured women in the Tri-state area.
  • Women who are having trouble finding clothing that compliments their size.

“From designing clothing to booking modeling gigs, BIG SEXY will follow the ladies as they take over Manhattan to make plus-size sexiness more mainstream. Society is so focused on approving much smaller bodies and because of this a lot of women suffered from negative body image. Given the mindset that thin is beautiful, they forget to realize that size is not a limitation on what they can do on their lives and on what they can offer to the world. Our limitation to do things is not based on size. It is based on what we believe and feel about ourselves.

What we see in Hollywood, print and tv ads that portray extremely thin and extremely made over talents and models is not a real life. If we take them as our standard of being beautiful, then we can never live a happy life. Realistically happiness and fulfillment can never be based on size. Living proof of that you can see countless of happy, successful and fulfilled curvy women.

Kim Coles.

The International Fuller Woman Expo is proud to announce the return of talk show host, comedian and actress Ms. Kim Coles as the keynote speaker. She is best known for her portrayal of Sinclair on the hit television show, “Living Single”, a role that garnered her 4 NAACP Image award nominations. Ms. Coles is the host of the popular game show “Pay it Forward” on BET, making her the 1st African American Woman to ever host a primetime game show.

Kim is ever evolving. In January, she let go of her trademark braids she has had for 20 years to go all natural! This decision to reveal her natural locks tranformed her in ways of thinking and being. DeLores Pressley

DeLores Pressly was the keynote speaker in 2009. She is back to grace this year’s event. She is a motivational Speaker, Founder and Principal of DeLores Pressley Worldwide and the BornSuccessful Institute.
