“About Face” gives a new light and a new angle on photographic portraiture.  For a mix media photography exhibit, famous photographer, Wahb Mabkhout presents a celebration of the 40’s and 50’s portrait photography and the glamour divas he is so much passionate about, such as Sophia Lauren, Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page.

The “About Face” is an art exhibit that portrays  beauty in all shapes.  For this collection of portraits Wahb worked with some of California’s most exceptional beautiful faces in plus size modelling that includes Reah Norman, Danielle Line, Denise Bidot, Davie Cabral, Rosie Mercado, Heather Justice, Audrey DeLano, and Kelsey Olson.

Updates on 2010 Full Figured Fashion Week

The month of June is fast approaching and the fashion capital of USA will soon witness the fashion extravaganza of the year.  If you are keeping track with the 2010 Full Figured Fashion Week, here are some of its updates.  First, the Big and Tall Male Showcase had been replaced by the Full Figured and Fabulous,  the Runway Model Competition.

Curvy Network, a Division of Chenese Lewis Productions, LLC curvyntwkflyer4 201x300 Chenese Lewis Productions Presents Curvy Networkhas announced the Curvy Network, A Plus Size Industry Networking Event on April 24, 2010 at MGI Studios in Los Angeles.  Chenese Lewis will be co-hosting alongside with Reah Norman, a Plus Fashion Stylist and Marlene G of MGI Studios.

This is an event dedicated for individuals in all facets of the plus industry.  Models, actors, photographers, designers, wardrobe stylists, make-up artists, hair stylists, agents, plus all others who are already established in the industry or trying to break into the industry are encouraged to attend.

Plus size industry is booming and is expected to grow more as plus size consumers and fashionistas are visibly escalating. Please come and get the chance to connect and network with the people  in the plus size industry.
