This 21 year-old actress Nikki Margaret Blonsky is best known for her lead role as Tracy Turnblad in the 2007′s big screen remake of the well known Broadway musical, ‘Hairspray’ and as Maggie Baker in the 2008 television movie Queen Sized. Another big break comes to her through the biggest TV series ‘Huge’ on ABC family that has just premiered recently. She plays the role of Willamina (Will), an opinionated, overweight girl who rebelled at her rich parents sending her to a weight camp. Nikki can relate well to the role because like Will, she is proud of her plus sized figure.

The biggest drama series ‘Huge’ had premiered on ABC Family last June 28, 2010. Airs Monday nights, 9PM, the new TV series is about a group of seven male and female teens who in their effort to gain acceptance, struggle to reduce pounds while at a summer camp. The awesome character of Willhelmina being played by Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky makes the story more interesting. Willhelmina is a rebellious girl who go against the rules at the fitness camp. She thinks weight loss is foolish. She is happy with her size and refuses to believe she is ugly just because she is fat. Is the airing of a plus show like ‘Huge’ indicates that acceptance of obesity in America is increasing?
