“It went too far, but I couldn’t stop it”
www.mirror.co.ukShocking story in the U.K. based “Mirror” of one ladies (Lauren Brudenell) struggle with anorexia. Peer pressure and self loathing led her down the deadly path.
As a school girl Lauren was heavier than most of her classmates and often times cried herself to sleep at night thinking of the taunts she often endured because of her weight.
“We had photographs taken at the prom, and I stood with my friends, plastering a smile on my face. I hated having my picture taken and when I saw the photographs afterwards I couldn’t bear looking at myself.”
As the experience of many people under this kind of peer pressure Lauren went on a diet but unlike most people she let it get way out of hand. Before it was all over Lauren had lost down to the size of a 10 year old and had to be hospitalized states the Mirror.
