The 2010 MIss Plus Diva Pageant and Conference shall take place on August 6-7, 2010 at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center, Baltimore, MD. In line with its mission to encourage plus size girls and women to embrace their beauty and allow their personalities and creativity to shine, Miss Plus Diva has created a unique pageant with divisions for women ages 13 and up who wear a size 12 and above to empower them and instill a sense of inclusion in the world of beauty, fashion and pageantry.

Young and most famous international model Crystal Renn wrote a short article in response to the negative comments of Designer Julien MacDonald on the plus industry. He called the plus size models a joke. On the other hand, Executive Producer of Full Figured Fashion Week had a few but loud words of Mr. MacDonald.

There are laws that protect us from discrimination against race, religion, ethnicity, sex, age, disabilities, and sexual orientation. But author and law professor of Standford University, Deborah L. Rhode says what we miss out is the protection from something more essential: appearance-related discrimination.
