Dead Serious News in its July 13, 2010 issue reported that NAAFA has made a disclosure that it has been lobbying members of Congress to amend the United States Constitution to provide special rights to fat people. Weight or size discrimination is growing rapidly everywhere – in the workplace, education system, and healthcare system. This reality calls for the legislators to give serious consideration to the proposed constitutional amendment that will afford protection and special rights to the majority of American population that belongs to overweight or obese.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom has issued an executive order banning sodas, sports drinks, artificially flavored water and juice with added sweeteners on vending machines in public places. The executive order was issued few months ago, but the effect of its impact has started to be felt only last week.
