“Whether you’re plus-size, pint-size or any size in between, we want to hear from you. Submit your pictures (along with your name, location, email address, mailing address, phone number and measurements) to casting@vmagazine.com for a chance to appear in our Spring Preview 2011 issue. The deadline for submissions is November 10th, 2010 at midnight, so let’s see what you’ve got.  On November 12th we will make our final selection, hand picking our new-found talent from all entries, and within two weeks, you may be styled and shot for the pages of V Magazine’s Spring Preview issue. After all, V WANTS YOU.”

As a fashion debut, Dent the Runway is expected to unveil a myriad of creations oozing with functionality, elegance and dazzling styles of Drapery.

Committed to bring the plus size community to a higher level, the high fashion in particular, Knowles presents a revolutionary fashion for the trendy and stylish full figured woman of today.

Knowles founded the Vintage House, a fashion company inclusive of Couture Plus Modeling Agency, Ms. Plus World and clothing lines such as Drapery, Thin Line and Sheer-fon.  A Bahamian native, Knowles has built his niche in full figured fashion in Bahamas and is positioning himself in becoming one of the greatest full figured clothing distributors in the world. With this, he reaches out not only to Bahamian models, but also to those in the United States, and his designs were even showcased at the most distinguished runway Full Figured Fashion Week in June 2010.

To represent Drapery,  Knowles had created an online contest where plus size women competed to become the “Face of Drapery”. The four winners Natalie Monet, Michyl Collins, Shawana Vickers and Tiffany Banks are on their way to show their fearless  walk  in the BIG event DENT THE RUNWAY on November 26th 2010 at the British Colonial Hilton on the splendid island of Nassau, Bahamas.

UK’s Miss Natural Curves Announces Year 2 National Competition

Miss Natural Curves 2010 300x212 UKs Miss Natural Curves Announces Year 2 National CompetitionMiss Natural Curves UK delights to announce year two of their national competition in 2011, grand final of the  inaugural event being held last April 24th, 2010.  Miss Natural Curves is a beauty competition that aims to promote healthy, beautiful curvaceous girls from size eight to 16. It is a beauty competition with a difference because unlike the traditional or mainstream beauty pageants, Miss Natural Curves is exclusively dedicated to more curvaceous figure.

Size zeros dominate the fashion world in the midst of the fast growing population of plus size women, such that the average British woman is a size 16.  Miss Natural Curves paves the way for beautiful girls of fuller size to be given equal opportunity in the Miss England competition, and it envisions a modeling industry that  reflects the representation of real women.

Miss Natural Curves is open to British residents with any dress size or shape, but must be over a size 10. The The Civic Hall Bedworth 257x300 UKs Miss Natural Curves Announces Year 2 National Competitioncompetition covers 2 heats, first  in January 2011, and second in March 2011. Entry forms must reach Miss Natural Curves by Friday November 5, 2010 for Heat 1 and Friday February 4, 2011 for Heat 2.

Grand final shall take place on April 30th, 2011 at Civic Hall, Bedworth in Warwickshire with  24 contestants aged between 17 and 24 competing for the title in a live catwalk parade and interview by the panel of judges.

Three main awards await the contestants at the grand final: Miss Natural Curves UK, Miss Popularity and Miss Charity. The finalist crowned Miss Natural Curves 2011 will be introduced into the fashion world through a modeling contract with the leading plus size agency in Europe, the Hughes Model Management, and she will be automatically entered into the finals of the prestigious Miss England Beauty Pageant 2011.  If she wins the Miss England title she is expected to join in the Miss World 2011.
