From the overwhelming success in Detroit last September 18, 2010 the curvy caravan of The International Fuller Woman Expo sets its journey back to Canada for its fifth event on April
16, 2011 at Toronto, ON from 10am to 7pm.
The Fuller Woman Expo is a celebration of curves, which is a brainchild of
Georgia Greenwood, an image consultant, personal coach and event planner who is a native of Jamaica who moved to Canada during her teens. In her native country, women of fuller figures are celebrated, thus she is aware how some plus size women regard themselves in Canada. The expo is Georgia’s dream come true that she founded last 2007 in Canada to create a platform where full figured women are celebrated, where they are given a special place of honor and where their voices are heard.
Cassandra Jones-McBryde was present during the inaugural presentation in Mississauga, Ontario. Inspired by the success of that event that attracted over 1000 patrons and business owners, and in her commitment to help uplift the plus size community, she followed her heart’s conviction the need to introduce the concept to the US, which she successfully did in 2008. Cassandra who is a native of Detroit is a journalist, event planner and stylist for the plus size community.
